Studying math is not just people who want to become a mathematician, scientist or engineer.  There are plenty of non-mathematical fields that rely on your ability to be a technical thinker.  And, like it or not, mathematics is the perfect field to train yourself to be a technical thinker.

WANT TO BE A SPY? – The National Security Agency (NSA) is the single greatest employer of mathematicians.  They are essentially responsible for encoding all top-secret transmissions in the United States Government.  They are also responsible for intercepting and decoding all transmissions from all other governments around the world (fancy talk for spying on foreign governments.)
